A league spokesman said the NFL will remain mum on specifics, other than what Goodell briefly addressed Tuesday when he told reporters he expected a decision in the "near future."
Another league source labeled a conditional reinstatement "smart speculation" but said Goodell could choose another option, especially if the commissioner does not feel his meeting with Vick is positively productive.
Goodell's decision could be made by Tuesday and he probably will not delay it beyond next week, barring new information being made available to him, a source said.
Vick's agent, Joel Segal, said, "Absolutely no comment."
NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith also is expected to meet with Vick this week, sources said. - espn
It is still speculation, but if Goodell reinstates Vick next week I'd be shocked. Especially with how hard Goodell has come down on those in the past. His only thinking to reinstating him immediately would be that he thinks Vick has already served his suspension by sitting in Big House for the last couple years. We will find out next week. If he is reinstated I can see the Patriots taking a flier on him.- SF 58

Agreed! I would be shocked too SportsFreak...Goodell has been Wyatt Earp for the most part ever since he took over. To reinstate him this early would be a change of character. That being said, Pats, Cowboys, hell maybe even the Raiders could be interested.
